Senior Legal Hotline - Legal Services of Northern California
Senior Legal Hotline (SLH) offers free legal advice by phone on any
subject to California residents over 60. Written materials and some
additional advocacy may be provided, and clients who need more extensive
assistance are referred to an appropriate legal services program, or
other source. A mediation program can help resolve some disputes.
Regular phone hours are 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
M-F, and until 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Depending on call volume, callers
during those hours may receive immediate service or get in queue for a
same-day callback. Call-back appointments may also be made. Seniors can
submit questions from the web site, www.seniorlegalhotline.org, and
receive a phone appointment with an SLH advocate. Senior Legal Hotline
is a program of Legal Services of Northern California. It also
administers Sacramento Senior Legal Services, which offers additional
help for local clients. Please see the separate listing for the Western
States Pension Assistance Project, another program of SLH.
