Legal Assistance for Seniors (LAS) is a non-profit agency serving residents of Alameda County who are 60 years of age or older (age 50 and older for Guardianships). LAS provides free legal advice and information, representation in court and administrative hearings, community education and training on legal issues, and referrals to other community resources. LAS is the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) service provider for Alameda County and through this program provides counseling and information to Medicare recipients.
