Bay Area Legal Aid provides free legal services to low income residents of 7 Bay Area counties. (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara). Our priorities are housing, domestic violence, economic security and health. Eligibility is based on LSC guidelines (125% of poverty).

Interpreters can be provided for: Interpreters provided for client intake and extended or brief services.
Wheelchair Accessible: Y
Access for the deaf: TTY/Relay
Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 200.0% of the poverty level.

  Must be applying for or securing public benefits.
 
Medical debts with approval from executive director. No criminal matters.
 
Other Requirements: For help, you must be:
  U.S. Citizen or Documented Immigrant
  This program does not serve prisoners

  Full Legal Representation- Public benefits and health access.
  Brief Advice- Public benefits and health access.
  Self-Help Materials- Public benefits and health access.
  Other- Community presentations on public benefits and health access.
