Other Information:

Bay Area Legal Aid provides free legal services to low income residents of 7 Bay Area counties. (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara). Our priorities are housing, domestic violence, economic security and health. Eligibility is based on LSC guidelines (125% of poverty).

  NOTE: The Legal Advice Line reserves Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. for domestic violence-related calls only.

Income Guidelines: 
  Your family's income should be at or below 200.0% of the poverty level.

Type of Help:
This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources:
 
  Full Legal Representation- Full representation prioritizes maintaining affordable housing, escape of abuse and violence, and benefits.
  Other- Counsel and advice over the phone for eligible clients.

What is an emergency?  Depends on substantive priority - take Domestic Violence, Sheriff's Writs, Termination of Benefits, etc.
